Frequently asked questions
Which Jan Marini sunscreen should I choose?
Which Jan Marini sunscreen should I choose?
For a mineral filter, pick Physical Protectant SPF 45 Tinted if you want a soft wash of colour that blurs redness, or the SPF 30 Untinted if you prefer no tint. For antioxidant defence alongside broad-spectrum cover, Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant SPF 30 layers vitamins into the formula. Rejuvenate & Protect doubles as your vitamin C serum and SPF 33 when you want to shorten the routine.
How much sunscreen should I apply and when?
How much sunscreen should I apply and when?
Use two finger-lengths across face and neck as the final morning step, over your serum and moisturiser. Let the Physical Protectant settle for two minutes before makeup so the mineral filters set evenly. Reapply every two hours of direct sun exposure; one 57g tube covers daily use for around two to three months.
What is the difference between the tinted and untinted Physical Protectant?
What is the difference between the tinted and untinted Physical Protectant?
Both use mineral zinc-based filters, at SPF 45 and SPF 30, but the Tinted version carries iron oxides that add a universal beige tint and screen visible light, softening the look of redness and pigmentation. The SPF 30 Untinted leaves no colour, so it suits deeper skin tones that a tint can grey. Choose Tinted for a your-skin-but-better finish, Untinted for zero cast.
Which sunscreen suits sensitive or redness-prone skin?
Which sunscreen suits sensitive or redness-prone skin?
The Physical Protectant range sits on top of skin with mineral filters rather than absorbing, so redness-prone and reactive skin tolerates it well. The Tinted SPF 45 adds the benefit of neutralising the look of flushing. All three wear comfortably under makeup and are fine to use through pregnancy, though check with your GP if you are unsure. Why choose a Jan Marini SPF over a basic high-street sunscreen?
Why choose a Jan Marini SPF over a basic high-street sunscreen?
Jan Marini finishes each formula to sit invisibly under skincare and makeup, so you reapply rather than skip it, the failing of most gritty high-street minerals. As an authorised UK stockist, Skintique dispatches every tube same-day before 2pm with free tracked delivery over £50.
