Candelilla Cera

Candelilla cera is a natural wax extracted from the leaves of the candelilla shrub, native to Mexico and the southwestern United States. It is a solid or semi-solid substance composed primarily of long-chain hydrocarbons and esters, giving it a waxy texture and pale yellow to off-white colour.In skincare formulations, candelilla cera functions as an emollient and film-forming agent. It softens the skin by trapping moisture and creates a protective layer on the surface, helping to reduce transepidermal water loss and improve the skin's feel and appearance.
