What Is Chamomile Flower Water?
Chamomile flower water (hydrosol) is the water-soluble product of steam distilling chamomile flowers. It contains the water-soluble compounds of chamomile in a gentle, ready-to-use form.
The hydrosol retains the calming and anti-inflammatory properties of chamomile in a milder form than essential oil. It is suitable even for the most sensitive skin.
Chamomile water is often used as a soothing toner or as the water phase in formulations.
