Croscarmellose

Croscarmellose (also known as croscarmellose sodium) is a synthetic polymer derived from cellulose, a naturally occurring plant fibre. It functions primarily as a texturiser and viscosity controller in cosmetic formulations, helping to create stable gels, creams and other semi-solid products.In skincare, this ingredient works behind the scenes rather than on the skin itself. It's added during manufacturing to improve the consistency, spreadability and stability of products, ensuring they maintain their intended texture from production through to use.
