Paeonol

Paeonol is a naturally occurring phenolic compound derived from peony plants (Paeonia species). In skincare formulations, it functions as an antioxidant and skin conditioning agent, helping to protect skin from oxidative stress whilst supporting the skin's natural barrier function.The ingredient has been used in traditional medicine for centuries, and modern research has begun investigating its mechanisms in topical skincare applications, particularly for inflammatory and wound-healing scenarios.
