What Is Propolis Extract?
Propolis extract is derived from propolis, a resinous material made by honeybees that is used to construct their hives. Raw propolis has been used since antiquity in the treatment of skin wounds.
Today, the extract from propolis is used both in clinical settings and in cosmetics because of its science-backed benefits. Research reveals that propolis extract is rich in antioxidant phenolic compounds and flavonoids, which fight pro-aging free-radical damage.
