What Is Red Clover Flower Extract?
Red clover flower extract is derived from Trifolium pratense, a plant rich in isoflavones, particularly biochanin A and formononetin. These phytoestrogens have structural similarity to human oestrogen.
As oestrogen levels decline with age and menopause, skin loses thickness, elasticity, and moisture. Red clover isoflavones can help counteract some of these effects by interacting with oestrogen receptors in the skin.
This botanical is particularly beneficial for mature skin experiencing hormonal changes and the associated loss of collagen and hydration.
