Rosa Hybrid Flower Water

Rosa hybrid flower water is a hydrosol—a byproduct of steam distillation of hybrid rose petals. It contains water-soluble compounds from the rose plant, including trace aromatics and plant polyphenols, creating a gentle, lightly fragranced liquid.In skincare formulations, it serves dual purposes: it can mask other ingredient odours whilst also providing a baseline protective function for the skin. Its lightweight nature makes it suitable for inclusion in a range of product types, from toners to serums.

Rose flower water contains naturally occurring polyphenols and aromatic compounds that have mild antioxidant behaviour. When applied to skin, these compounds may help neutralise free radicals and reduce oxidative stress at the surface.The water base itself provides light hydration through absorption into the outer layers of the epidermis. Unlike heavier humectants, it delivers moisture without a heavy residue, making it particularly useful in lightweight formulations designed for sensitive or reactive skin.
