What Is Terminalia Chebula Fruit Extract?

Terminalia chebula is an Ayurvedic plant extract that’s native to South Asia, where it’s known as “The King of Medicine”. Terminalia chebula has in vitro research showing it exerts a protective effect on skin exposed to daylight as well as helping to maintain skin’s supportive elements.

Also known as myrobalan, this plant is a rich source of phenolic compounds that exhibit antioxidant activity. Examples include gallic and ellagic acids, both potent antioxidants; in fact, comparative studies with antioxidants like quercetin has shown the antioxidant mix in Terminalia chebula has 95% efficacy against different types of free radicals.
