What Is Alloferon-1?

Alloferon-1 is a single chain maggot protein produced synthetically to be identical to Alloferon-1 which is found in the maggot, Calliphora vicina. The protein contains 13 amino acids and consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.

Its declared cosmetic functions are bleaching, emollient and skin protecting.
