Citrus Junos Fruit Water is an aqueous extract derived from yuzu, a Japanese citrus fruit. It is obtained through pressing or steeping the fruit and collecting the liquid component, which contains natural compounds from the citrus including trace amounts of vitamin C and organic acids.In skincare formulations, this ingredient serves primarily as a fragrance component and sensory enhancer. It is used at relatively high concentrations (typically 54–71%) in formulations where scent and aesthetic appeal are important to the product experience.

Citrus Junos Fruit Water functions in skincare primarily through its water content and aromatic compounds. The natural volatile compounds in yuzu fruit provide fragrance, whilst the water phase contributes to the hydrating base of the formulation.Any antioxidant activity would come from polyphenols and flavonoids naturally present in the citrus fruit, which can help neutralise free radicals. However, the extent of this benefit depends on the concentration of active compounds retained during extraction and the stability of these compounds in the finished product.
