How It Works
Ethanolamine works through acid-base chemistry. When formulations contain acidic ingredients (such as certain acids or acid-derived compounds), ethanolamine acts as a chemical 'buffer' by accepting or donating protons—essentially absorbing excess acidity and preventing pH from dropping too low. This keeps the product in a range that's compatible with healthy skin.
