What Is Benzophenone?
Benzophenone is a group of compounds used in cosmetics primarily as sunscreen agents. Its main function is to protect the skin from ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation. It also offers some, but not complete, protection against ultraviolet A (UVA) radiation. It is also used as a pH adjuster/stabilizer in cosmetic formulations.
