What Is Micronised Zinc Oxide?

Micronised zinc oxide is zinc oxide that has been processed into extremely fine particles, typically less than 100 nanometers. This smaller particle size provides more transparent application compared to regular zinc oxide.

Zinc oxide is a broad-spectrum mineral UV filter that reflects and scatters both UVA and UVB rays. The micronised form maintains this protection while reducing the white cast typically associated with mineral sunscreens.

It is one of the most gentle and stable sunscreen ingredients available, suitable for sensitive and reactive skin types.
