What Is Sh-Oligopeptide-6?

sh-Oligopeptide-6 is a single chain recombinant human peptide, produced by fermentation in E. coli and contains 16 amino acids. The starting gene is synthesized to be identical to the human gene which codes for Alpha Endorphin and codes for a total of 267 amino acids. This protein contains 16 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or sugar. The protein consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.

Its declared cosmetic function is skin conditioning.
