What Is White Shiitake Mushroom Extract?
White shiitake mushroom extract is derived from Lentinus edodes, cultivated specifically to maximize its skin-brightening compounds. The extract contains kojic acid and other natural tyrosinase inhibitors.
Tyrosinase is the key enzyme in melanin production. By inhibiting its activity, white shiitake helps prevent new pigmentation from forming while allowing existing dark spots to fade naturally.
This natural brightening agent is gentler than many synthetic alternatives and provides additional antioxidant and hydrating benefits.
