The Verdict

If you've had a dermal filler or another injectable and nothing else, INhance Post-Injection Serum® is the more targeted, more affordable choice, built as a short applicator-tip course over the treated area. If you've had a laser, peel, microneedling or a mix of procedures — or you want a serum you can keep using afterwards — Regenerating Skin Nectar® is the wider-use option. Either way, follow your own practitioner's aftercare instructions on timing rather than a generic schedule.

Alastin INhance Post-Injection Serum® and Alastin Regenerating Skin Nectar® both use the brand's patented TriHex Technology®, but they're formulated for different moments in a treatment plan, not two sizes of the same product. INhance (£55/10ml) is a small, cooling serum built for the area treated with a dermal filler or other injectable. Regenerating Skin Nectar (£180/29.6ml) is a broader, twice-daily serum used around laser resurfacing, peels, microneedling and injectables alike, and some patients continue it afterwards as a general anti-ageing serum.

What INhance Post-Injection Serum is for

INhance is Alastin's product for the days immediately around an injectable — dermal filler, a neuromodulator such as Botox or Dysport, microneedling or RF. It's applied directly to the treated area using a built-in cooling metal tip, designed to be gentle enough for delicate spots like around the eyes and lips. Alastin references published research in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology supporting the formula; we haven't independently reviewed that study, so no percentage figures are repeated here — see our full INhance Post-Injection Serum review for the ingredients.

What Regenerating Skin Nectar is for

Regenerating Skin Nectar covers more ground. It's a water-free, silicone-based serum designed to sit around a wider set of procedures rather than one specific treatment type. Alastin's own directions describe applying it after other approved actives, so its silicone base can help seal them in, and cite a study in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology in support of the formula. Full detail is in our Regenerating Skin Nectar review.

Can you use both?

They're not designed as a pair for one treatment, but they can suit different stages of a wider plan — INhance for the short window after a filler appointment, Regenerating Skin Nectar around a separate laser or peel, or as an ongoing serum once healed. A specific practitioner instruction always takes priority over anything on this page.

Which one do you need?

  • Had a filler or other injectable, and nothing else: INhance is the more targeted, cheaper option.
  • Had a laser, peel, microneedling, or a mix of procedures: Regenerating Skin Nectar is the wider-use serum.
  • Want a serum to keep using once healed: Regenerating Skin Nectar is positioned for that; INhance is a short course, not an everyday product.
  • Unsure which your clinic meant: a small tube with a metal applicator tip is INhance; a pump-dispensed bottle is Regenerating Skin Nectar.

Frequently asked questions

What's the main difference between INhance and Regenerating Skin Nectar?

INhance is built for the area treated with a filler or other injectable, applied via a cooling applicator tip for a short, intensive course. Regenerating Skin Nectar is the broader serum, used around a wider range of procedures and, for some patients, on an ongoing daily basis afterwards.

Is Regenerating Skin Nectar worth the extra cost over INhance?

It depends what you need it for. Regenerating Skin Nectar is more expensive and formulated for a wider range of procedures, plus potential ongoing daily use, while INhance is the cheaper, more targeted option for injectable aftercare specifically. Neither is simply a bigger version of the other.

Can I use INhance after a laser or peel instead of Regenerating Skin Nectar?

INhance's applicator format and frequency are built around the injectable use-case. Regenerating Skin Nectar is Alastin's product for laser, peel and microneedling recovery, so it's the more appropriate choice there — check with your practitioner if you're unsure.

How soon after a procedure can I start using either product?

Alastin's directions describe starting INhance immediately after treatment, and say Regenerating Skin Nectar's procedure-care timing should always follow your healthcare provider's own guidance. Timing genuinely varies by procedure and clinic, so defer to your practitioner's aftercare instructions rather than a generic schedule.

Can I use either product if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
